Hello, World! My name is Kaylee

I am a software engineer working full-time at a finance company in NYC. When I was in university my big passion was working on diversity initiatives. Between starting a local Girls Who Code chapter, founding my department's Women in Tech Week, and being an active member of my Women in Computer Science Club I was able to interact with a lot of women in tech. I quickly realized there is a lot that a data structures or algorithms class does not teach you about having a career in the tech industry.

I dreamed of starting a blog where I could share the advice and tips that I have picked up throughout my journey and am so excited to finally be pursuing my passion project here. You'll find that I love coffee, coding, and traveling (sad I couldn't continue the alliteration there) so I'll be talking about those a lot!
